we were given no choice being told our 1500kg caravan weight did not warrent a hard standing pitch ,funny then when we had pitched up a hard standing that was free when we arrived was allocated to a similar weight caravan . Unfortunately the appearance of this site is of an out dated forgotten place. 90% of the way there is downhill which obviously means 90% is uphill coming back. We did see the warden on the mower once but even when he'd passed it was difficult to see where the grass had been cut. Facilities kept clean but unsure why the band system was dropped for the bank holiday weekend? Grass pitches were the only ones available when we arrived. Club Site, Rated
During the week other areas around us were cut but our pitch wasn’t and still wasn’t 6 days later. Enjoy a site open to both members and non-members. I have nothing against motor homes everyone to their own ,but with the increase of motor homes the cc should be providing more hard standings. Had a lovely welcome when we arrived, everything fully explained . This worked really well as it is a large building and we did not have to queue at all during our stay. Unkept grass dividers/edges to the fields, flower bed, signs, and particular the long grass everywhere. Clean. Site looking a picture, even with the recent weather. Register. Other years the site has been well kept and tidy and the flower beds tidy not so this year. Site is on the right in 0.5 miles. Unless your'e lucky enough to bag a hard-standing pitch, the grass one's are badly in need of cutting. This was partly because several of the grass pitches had been affected by earlier rain. Will be back soon . 5 of
We were blessed with lovely late summer sunshine and enjoyed days on Woolacombe and Croyde beaches. Both are superb and, although busy, it was not difficult to social distance. Flower beds that had been planted out around the site at the beginning of the season were overgrown with weeds and the whole site looked neglected. Sites key:
In fact I would go as far as to so in peak summer, it would be our living hell! The site itself is a lovely location to visit the North Devon coast. The site is both quiet and peaceful out of peak season yet offers a vibrant family site at other times of the year. when we arrived it was raining ,and we were told we had to have a very soggy grass pitch as you have guessed it motor homes take priority which is wrong we all pay the same membership charge and pitch fees. 5, Rated

Unfortunately a lot of the pitches on grass seemed to become muddy very quickly obviously owing to the previous weeks rain. Find things to do near to Willingcott Caravan Club Site. Clean. I think the club needs to get back to basics with good pitches with short grass up to date electrical bollards, update to first class toilet facilities and maybe a bit of customer care at reception. The stay was only marred by the behaviour and attitude of the small minority and those teenagers, who for some reason are fascinated by hanging around a toilet block, in the evening. The grass pitch we were allocated was vey wet and very uneven . Glorious weather and as usual friendly wardens and good clean facilities. Feedback. Very peaceful. We managed to get a pitch at the lower end of the caravan site which was less windy, as it can be very windy here, and being hard standing it meant that if it did rain we wouldn’t get muddy. Our welcome was warm and informative. Unless your'e lucky enough to bag a hard-standing pitch, the grass one's are badly in need of cutting. Just returned from a week here.
